How to study for finals: a simple plan
Finals cover a whole course. A short, steady plan beats a last-night scramble.
List every unit
Write down each chapter or topic the final covers and mark the ones you feel least sure about.
Start two weeks early if you can
Short daily sessions on a few units work better than long sessions on all of them.
Practice one unit at a time first
Generate a practice test for a unit, fix what you missed, then move on.
Finish with mixed practice
In the last days, take a mixed final exam so you practice switching between topics.
Sleep before the exam
Memory is consolidated during sleep. A good night's sleep beats an extra hour of cramming.
